The Buffalo Bills announced Saturday that they released rookie punter Matt Araiza.
The move comes two days after he was one of three named in the San Diego State gang-rape lawsuit.
Araiza did not play in Friday’s preseason finale and did not participate in Saturday’s practice at One Bills Drive.
The 22-year-old was drafted by Buffalo in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Without Araiza on the roster, the Bills currently do not have a punter. Buffalo will open the season on September 8 in Los Angeles against the defending Super Bowl Champs.
