The Walworth-Seely Public Library will celebrate a grand opening this weekend.
The doors have been closed to the library since March when it was shut down for renovation.
Now, an event will be held on Saturday, August 27th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. celebrating its return.
The facility has grown by 1,300 square feet, and existing space was renovated. There are two new meeting rooms, a drive-up book drop, more shelving space, and an ADA compliant circulation desk.
The library serves around 9,250 people.
“Thanks to the Friends of the Walworth-Seely Public library for their assistance with contributions toward the renovation. Their book sales over the past 20 years have contributed to the new carpeting, cabinetry, and circulation desk in the renovated library and we are grateful for their fundraising efforts for the library,” officials said.
