Another Geneva Half Marathon is in the books.
Event began as a way to give back to the community
The 13.1-mile run around the Seneca Lakefront took place Saturday, August 13. Sarah Heieck says she started the benefit run for the Geneva Family YMCA and the Boys and Girls Clubs as a way of giving back to their community.
320 people from 21 states and Canada took part. The top male finisher this year was Dave Cook of Geneva in 1:13:27. The top female finisher was Katie Cobos of Canandaigua in 1:29:57. The organizers would like to thank their “rock star” volunteers for their hard work in making the race a success.
