State police responded to a fatal hit and run accident that happened on the Inner Loop in the city of Rochester.
The deceased was described as an adult male, in the westbound lanes, between Scio Street and Joseph Avenue.
He was struck by a passing motorist who fled the scene.
Troopers are investigating, asking anyone with information about the accident to call 585-398-4100.
The identity of the victim was not released.
