Police say they were called to a restaurant in Ithaca on Taughannock Blvd. following a shooting late-Friday.
Now, a 45-year-old is in custody after reportedly shooting at an employee of the Boat Yard Grill.
Police were called to the restaurant after a disturbance involving three people. When an employee tried to get the license plate number of the vehicle the three individuals were leaving in- one of the individuals inside fired a gun at the employee.
They were not struck by gunfire.
Through investigation it was found that 45-year-old Troy Washington, of Ithaca was responsible for firing the gun. A loaded .25 caliber handgun was recovered from the vehicle he occupied when police located him.
Washington was charged with first-degree attempted assault, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and harassment. Two of the three charges are Class C felonies.
Any witnesses are encouraged to contact IPD as the investigation continues.
