We’ve hit the midway point in August and FLX Music 247 has all the information on the local music scene for the week ahead. Janelle Bradshaw lets us know about the Forty Thieves down at Climbing Bines on Sunday afternoon. Muranda Cheese in Waterloo will also have Zydecorp on Sunday afternoon. Point of the Bluff hosts the Village People on Sunday as well. Friday night offers many different options this week. Buttonwood Grove hosts Feed the Fire and Treleaven Winery will be hosting Destination. Matt Venuti will be performing at Ferona on Friday and Keuka Spring on Sunday. The Skaneateles Music Festival wraps up this weekend and the Hemlock Blues Festival is Saturday as well. Janelle’s Artist of the Week is the Sim Redmond Band. The group blends roots-rock, Afro-Caribbean, and Reggae music. The group is based out of Ithaca and tours worldwide. The Sim Redmond Band will be live from the Finger Lakes Cider House Friday night.
