Police are investigating a stabbing that happened on North Meadow Street around 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday.
During the initial investigation it was learned that a delivery person was stabbed once in the shoulder sustaining a non-life threatening injury.
The suspect is unknown to the victim and is described as a black male, in their late-teens or early-20s, with no facial hair and a thin build.
At the time of the attack, the suspect was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and pants.
They fled before police arrived, but were headed south toward Fulton Street.
The investigation remains active, police said. They encouraged anyone with information about the possible suspect or incident to contact IPD at 607-272-3245.
