Deadline to register for ‘Steps to End Abuse Virtual 5k’ is August 19

The registration deadline to guarantee a T-shirt in the Steps to End Abuse Virtual 5K is this Friday, Aug. 19.

After Friday, shirts will only be available while supplies last.

The Steps to End Abuse Virtual 5K will take place Sept. 16-18. Since it’s a virtual event, participants can take part any way (run, walk, hike, bike, paddle), any time and any where during that weekend.

The registration fee is $40. To register, visit online.

Proceeds benefit the Child Advocacy Center of the Finger Lakes, which offers support and hope to child abuse survivors and their families. The CACFL also offers professional and community education on a variety of topics, such as online safety, parenting, child abuse prevention, Adverse Childhood Experiences, and more.

To increase their impact for local kids, participants can create an online fundraiser either on the event website or Facebook. Those who collect at least $200 in donations will be entered into a raffle drawing.

The event is made possible thanks in part to our sponsors – Seneca Meadows, Wegmans, Generations Bank, Tall Trainer Fitness Systems, and Mayflowers Nursery and Garden Center.
