The Livingston County Highway Department (LCHD) is accepting public comments now through Aug. 30, 2022, as part of the design process for the Presbyterian Road Culvert Replacement project.
Located in the town of Mount Morris, the project will replace the existing culvert with a new structure designed to last 75 years, install a structurally sound culvert requiring minimal maintenance for up to 50 years, and stabilize the slopes around the culvert openings, according to LCHD officials.

Construction of the new culvert and highway modifications will require closure of Presbyterian Road with use of an off-site detour for approximately three months. Construction of the project will cost an estimated $773,200, with New York State covering 100% of the funding through BridgeNY, a state-wide effort to rehabilitate and replace outdated bridges and culverts.
An in-person public meeting will not be held. Project materials are available on the LCHD website for public review and comment. Public comments will be considered and incorporated into the final design. Public comments will be accepted via email, USPS, fax or through a public comment link. For more information on the project and how to submit a comment, please visit the LCHD website.
