Yankees shut out by Red Sox

The New York Yankees were shut out by the Boston Red Sox, 3-0, on Sunday night at Fenway Park. With the loss, New York has now dropped four consecutive series.

Jameson Taillon started for the Yankees and surrendered three runs on six hits over seven innings while striking out four.

New York really struggled offensively as they had just two hits and one walk.

Jonathan Loaísiga tossed a scoreless inning in relief.

The Yankees will head back to the Bronx to begin a nine-game homestand on Monday, starting with three against the Tampa Bay Rays. The first pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
