Jacob deGrom started on the hill for New York and dominated again as he tossed six shutout innings while allowing just two hits and striking out 10. The right-hander improved to 2-0 on the season.
The only run of the game came in the first inning as Pete Alonso collected his National League-leading 97th RBI of the season with a single to right field.
Seth Lugo, Trevor May, and Edwin Díaz had scoreless outings in relief.
The Mets will try to take two of three from the Phillies on Sunday. The first pitch is slated for 1:40 p.m.
