Deputies say a Penn Yan man was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital after a car-motorcycle accident in the town of Jerusalem on Wednesday.
The car was operated by Tracey Irwin, of Potter, who was traveling on Route 54A near Central Avenue when she attempted to turn into a driveway.
That’s when Douglas Field, 61, of Penn Yan, who was traveling in the same direction, attempted to pass her.
The motorcyclist from Penn Yan struck the passenger vehicle on the driver’s side door. Field suffered an array of injuries and was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital.
Irwin was ticketed for not having a child under 8 in a child seat.
