Rochester Red Wings losing streak hits 19

The Rochester Red Wings fell to the Norfolk Tides for the second straight night at Frontier Field, this time by a score of 9-8. With the loss, Rochester extends their franchise-record losing streak to 19 games.

Joan Adon started on the mound for the Red Wings and allowed six runs (five earned) over three innings while striking out four in his first appearance at the Triple-A level since June 22.

Andrew Stevenson clubbed his 10th home run of the season, which tied the game at 8-8 in the bottom of the eighth inning. He also collected an RBI with a bases-loaded walk.

Jake Alu smacked his third home run of the season and finished a triple shy of the cycle.

David Dahl extended his on-base streak to eight games with a two-run single.


Josh Nogowski went 5-for-5 with an RBI and has now had multiple hits in each of his first three games with the Red Wings.

Jecksson Flores also chipped in with an RBI as he brought home a run with a bases-loaded walk.

Alberto Baldonado, Connor Sadzeck, and Reed Garrett had scoreless outings in relief. Matt Cronin suffered the loss as he surrendered the game-winning run. Francisco Perez also gave up a pair of runs.

The Red Wings will give the ball to Patrick Murphy on Thursday as they try to snap this skid. The first pitch is slated for 1:05 p.m.
