The Ithaca Police Department is investigating a grand larceny that occurred during the afternoon hours on August 8.
Around 2 p.m. officers received a report of a purse theft from inside a business near the Ithaca Commons.
The victim reported that the theft happened over an hour earlier from a restaurant in the 100 block of North Aurora Street.
The victim also reported that since the initial theft, the suspects used a credit card from the stolen purse.
Thousands of dollars were stolen.
Further investigation revealed that the suspects visited other businesses in the area between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Monday.
The suspects were described as male and female, both possibly of Filipino descent. The suspects were photographed by nearby security footage.
