High-profile Democrats made their way to Wayne County over the weekend for a picnic.
Attorney General Letitia James and New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli were in Williamson for the Wayne County Democratic Committee Picnic.
They were there to show support for local candidates who are at a 2-to-1 enrollment disadvantage against Republicans.
“I believe there’s a greater awareness and really issues that are national, as well as local, and we’ve got some, a lot of people, who are interested in finding out more about some alternative ways of governing in Wayne Country,” Ellen Zuroski of Sodus Democratic Committee told News10NBC.
James and DiNapoli are up for re-election this November and are enjoying comfortable leads in their races.
