The Syracuse Mets cruised past the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, 18-2, in the series finale on Sunday evening at Coca-Cola Park. Despite taking the final game of the series, Lehigh Valley won four of six.

The Mets offense pounded out 18 runs on 18 hits. Everyone in the starting lineup had at least a hit, and four of them had three-hit games. Deven Marrero drove in five runs to lead the offense. Travis Blankenhorn collected three RBIs, while Nick Plummer and Khalil Lee each had two. Dominic Smith, Gosuke Katoh, and J.T. Riddle also chipped in with RBIs.

Veteran left-hander Mike Montgomery started for Syracuse and surrendered a pair of runs over three innings. The bullpen was lights out as Trey Cobb, Sam Slay, Bryce Montes de Oca, and R.J. Alvarez combined for six shutout innings, with three of them coming from Cobb.

Syracuse will get the day off on Monday before they begin a six-game series with the Buffalo Bisons at NBT Bank Stadium on Tuesday. The first pitch is slated for 6:35 p.m.
