The Syracuse Mets snapped a three-game skid with a 6-3 victory over the Lehigh Valley IronPigs on Friday night at Coca-Cola Park. Lehigh Valley now leads the six-game series 3-1.
Connor Grey started for Syracuse and fired six innings of one-run ball while walking three and striking out three. The right-hander improved to 5-5 on the season.
Daniel Palka smacked his 18th home run of the season for the Mets while Francisco Alvarez launched his fifth. Nick Plummer and Travis Blankenhorn also drove in runs.
Syracuse will try to make it two in a row on Saturday at 6:35 p.m.
