A Seneca Falls woman was charged while being taken into custody on a bench warrant.
According to a news release, the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Shaniqura N. Bailey, 29, of Seneca Falls for resisting arrest.
Bailey was convicted of a petit larceny charge for which she was sentenced to serve jail time intermittently. She failed to appear in court on multiple occasions. While being taken into custody, Bailey resisted arrest by locking her vehicle door and attempting to roll the window up. Bailey failed to comply with orders to exit the vehicle and was eventually taken into custody.
Bailey is due back in Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date to answer the new charge.
