The Syracuse Mets dropped their second straight game to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs on Wednesday night at Coca-Cola Park, this time by a score of 6-1.

Veteran right-hander Trevor Cahill started for Syracuse and surrendered four runs over two innings while walking four and striking out two.

The Mets plated their lone run in the top of the seventh as Francisco Alvarez crushed his fourth home run of the season. Other than that, Syracuse had just four hits.

Rob Zastryzny allowed a pair of runs in relief but other than that, the bullpen was really solid as Locke St. John, Jose Rodriguez, and Michael Otanez had scoreless outings.

Syracuse will try to snap their skid on Thursday. The first pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m.
