Stephen Nogosek surrendered three runs in relief, and Yoan López allowed a run. Tommy Hunter fired a scoreless inning.
The Mets will try to bounce back on Wednesday and secure a series win with Chris Bassitt on the mound. The first pitch is slated for 4:05 p.m.
