Police say a Sodus man was arrested following a property damage accident on Saturday.
According to a news release, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Similiano Cortes-Romano, 54, of Sodus for driving while intoxicated.
It is alleged that Cortes-Romano was involved in a property damage collision on State Route 104 in Sodus and then fled the scene. After fleeing the scene, he stopped at a residence on Ridge Road in Sodus. Deputies determined Cortes-Romano to be under the influence of alcohol and he was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office after failing road side field sobriety testing. Further investigation revealed Cortes-Romano had a blood alcohol content of .20%.
Cortes-Romano will appear before the Sodus Town Court at a later date.
