The Rochester Red Wings suffered their 11th consecutive loss after falling, 9-2, to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders on Sunday afternoon at Frontier Field.
Rochester plated both of their runs in the bottom of the fourth. Donovan Casey worked a bases-loaded walk to put the Red Wings on the board, and Chris Herrmann drove in a run with an infield single. Other than Herrmann’s hit, the team had just three hits.
Franklyn Kilome started for Rochester and allowed seven runs on seven hits over 4 1/3 innings while walking three and striking out six.
Alberto Baldonado and Matt Cronin each surrendered a run in relief while Reed Garrett tossed two shutout innings.
Estevan Florial, Oswaldo Cabrera, Ronald Guzman, and Oswald Peraza all homered for the RailRiders.
The Red Wings will get the day off on Monday before they head to Columbus to open a six-game series with the Clippers on Tuesday. The first pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
