An Ovid resident was arrested following a shoplifting incident on Thursday.
According to a news release, troopers arrested Lucy P. Puryear, 52, of Ovid for petit larceny.
The larceny occurred on July 26 at the Big M in the village of Ovid.
Puryear will return to the Town of Ovid Court at a later date to answer the charge.
