The second half of the season officially got underway over the weekend. Paul Russo and Kyle Evans are in the studio to discuss all things Mets, Yankees, and minor league teams. The Yankees had five games in four days to get things going. After dropping the double-header in Houston, the Bronx Bombers rebounded nicely in Baltimore. Paul and Kyle discuss what went wrong against the Astros and what went right against the Orioles. The guys also talk about Michael King’s injury and a shockwave decision in the minors that had fans scrambling. The Mets hosted the Padres over the weekend and dropped two of three. Paul and Kyle talk about the pitching once again stepping up while the offense spins its wheels. The guys also talk about the Mets trading for Daniel Vogelbach and what it means for the squad as the trade deadline approaches. Paul and Kyle preview the Subway Series as the Yankees travel to Citi Field and the Mets for a two-game set this week.
Rochester and Syracuse were on the road over the weekend and had opposite outcomes. Rochester dropped all three games in Buffalo while Syracuse powered themselves to a series victory against Worcester. Paul and Kyle talk about the games and the week ahead for the Red Wings and SMets.
