Police say an individual was arrested following a traffic stop in Rochester.
According to a news release, State Police arrested Charles J. Gibson, 32, for criminal possession of a weapon.
The traffic stop was initiated after a motorist was observed driving on North Clinton Avenue with a suspended NY identification only. Gibson was riding as a passenger and also did not have a valid license. During the investigation, troopers located a .380 caliber handgun with 6 live rounds.
Gibson was remanded to the Monroe County Jail to await arraignment. The driver was issued uniform traffic tickets and was released.
