The Auburn Rotary Club’s Party in the Park fundraiser is back, Saturday and Sunday at Deauville Island on Owasco Lake.
The event raises money for local and international Rotary projects
Party in the Park is one of Auburn Rotary’s main fundraisers each year. Rotarian Ed Helinski talks about some of the local projects the Auburn club is involved in.

Family Fun this weekend at Deauville Island
Musical acts at this year’s Party in the Park include Perform 4 Purpose Saturday from noon-1 p.m., The Endless Mountain Derelicts Saturday from 1:30-4:30 p.m., The Dean’s List Saturday from 5-8 p.m., Jim VanArsdale & The Healers Sunday from noon-2:30 p.m., and Bad Juju Sunday from 3-6 p.m.
There will be retail and craft vendors, food and drink for sale, a celebrity dunk tank, and Fun Firefighter Games, pitting local departments against each other in games of skill like Pushball, Sink the Boat, and Jaws of Life Jenga.

The Auburn Rotary Club came to the rescue of the long-running Easter Egg Hunt at Hoopes Park this spring when the previous sponsor was no longer able to run the event. Watch my full Inside the FLX conversation with Auburn Rotarian Ed Helinski below.
