UPDATE: Cornerstone Chuch in Batavia is the new venue for the ReAwaken America Tour.
The political event was originally set to be held at the Main Street Armory in Rochester but was canceled by venue owner Scott Donaldson due to public backlash.
Now, the event will take place at Cornerstone Church on August 12 and 13, the same dates originally planned, WROC confirmed.
The church is located at 8020 Bank Street Road in Batavia, Genesee County.
There are a few contenders for locations around Rochester and the Finger Lakes that could host the controversial ReAwaken Tour.
The event, which was planned for the Main Street Armory in Rochester, was canceled after outrage from local residents.
According to initial reporting from News10NBC, founder and event organizer Clay Clark said “Episode 14” was relocated to a venue in Macedon for August 12 and 13.
“I can confirm that we have 5 different venues that have agreed to host us, and I’m just working on the final details,” Clark told News10NBC.
Later on, the Macedon venue named by Clark released a statement saying they would not be hosting the event. Clark’s team later admitted to “miscommunication” between organizers and the venue.
