Police are asking for the public’s help with an investigation after an assault near 5&20 in Geneva.
On Monday around 2:38 p.m. officers responded to the Lakefront Playground, located near the Long Pier off 5&20 for an assault.
It was learned that a group of young children and an adult arrived at the Lakefront Playground for part of summer camp- when the adult observed two females physically fighting there
The adult asked the two to stop, but was attacked by a third unknown person.
That individual was described as a black male, around 5’10” and 190 lbs. The suspect then fled in an early-2000s Ford Taurus. He fled with a woman, described as having a light complexion, around 5’6″, and 220 lbs with tattoos on her neck.
The vehicle was last seen traveling east on 5&20.
