The town of Geneva will be keeping close watch over the Slate Rock Rd. bridge over the next few months after a state inspection showed minor elevation differences between the two ends of the 70-year-old bridge and the middle.
Geneva Town Supervisor Mark Venuti says the town called in a private engineering firm, which confirmed the state’s findings.

Bridge closed last two winters
The town closed the bridge from November 15 to April 15 for the past two years to spare it from potential damage from snow plows. There are only two homes on Slate Rock Rd., and the residents can use Billsboro Rd. with little if any inconvenience.
