The New York Yankees rolled past the Boston Red Sox, 13-2, in the series finale on Sunday afternoon at Yankee Stadium.
Gerrit Cole started for New York and tossed seven innings of two-run ball while striking out 12. The right-hander improved to 9-2 on the season.
Tim Locastro and Joey Gallo each hit two-run home runs for the Yankees. Matt Carpenter drove in three runs and Aaron Hicks added a couple of RBIs. DJ LeMahieu, Aaron Judge, Gleyber Torres, and Isiah Kiner-Falefa also chipped in with RBIs.
Lucas Luetge and Jonathan Loáisiga each threw a scoreless inning out of the bullpen for New York.
The Yankees will get a few days off for the MLB All-Star break before returning to action on Thursday for a doubleheader in Houston against the Astros.
