The Syracuse Mets snapped their two-game skid on Sunday afternoon at NBT Bank Stadium with a 3-1 victory over the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.
Thomas Szapucki started for the Mets and allowed a run over four innings of work while striking out seven.
Syracuse plated all three runs in the first three innings. Daniel Palka smacked his 17th home run of the season over the wall in right-center in the first. In the third, Kramer Robertson picked up an RBI with an infield single. Later in the inning, Nick Dini worked a bases-loaded walk.
Jacksonville scored their lone run in the fourth as Jerar Encarnacion drilled one over the wall in left-center.
Syracuse will get the next few days off for the All-Star break before they return to action on Friday at Worcester.
