What item was removed from the menu?

Starbucks is axing one of their newer items that just made its debut nationwide. The Chicken, Maple Butter & Egg Sandwich was removed from the menu after not meeting quality standards. The sandwich was launched on June 21 as part of Starbucks’ summer menu updates. However, it was pulled just a few days later in June 26.

There have been several recent complaints about the Starbucks breakfast sandwich. Customers had reported symptoms of food poisoning after eating it, like: nausea, diarrhea, and sometimes vomiting.

The internal recall notice notes “Stop Sell & Discard.” It also said that this was effective immediately and that the remaining product should not be donated.
