Letchworth ranked 9 on list of top 10 campgrounds in U.S.

Letchworth State Park in New York is ranked #9 on a popular app’s list of the best camping spots in the country.

The state park spanning Livingston and Wyoming counties is the only camping site in the northeast to make The Dyrt Magazine’s 2022 Best Places to Camp: Top 10 in the U.S. list.

List based on reviews and ratings from campers

The company said its rankings are based on reviews and ratings from The Dyrt app’s community of campers.

“Part of what makes camping such a wonderful and soul-satisfying experience is the way it enables and encourages people to appreciate nature,” says Sarah Smith, founder of The Dyrt.

“There are rewarding camping experiences in every state. But when you look at the 2022 Best Places To Camp: Top 10 in the U.S., that’s just nature on another level — truly awe-inspiring.”

Letchworth named #1 best camping spot in Mid-Atlantic region

The Dyrt released a list of the best places to camp in the Mid-Atlantic region back in June. Letchworth takes the #1 spot on that list.

All 10 sites on this year’s Best Places to Camp list are in close proximity to natural wonders, reports The Dyrt.
