Varick woman charged with child endangerment after incident involving teens

Deputies report the arrest of a Varick resident following a domestic incident.

According to a news release, Shelby Thorpe, 25, of Varick was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest.


Deputies were called to a Varick address for a domestic involving Thorpe and another person.

During the investigation Thorpe acted in a manner that resulted in injuries to the two children.

Thorpe was released after the incident. An order of protection was requested on behalf of the victims.
