State police arrested a Horseheads man following a property damage crash in the town of Catlin.
While interviewing the driver after the crash on July 9, troopers detected the odor of alcohol.
The driver was identified as Scott McGinnis, 37, who submitted to a field sobriety tests.
He failed them, and was transported back to State Police Headquarters in Horseheads where he submitted to a breath test.
That test showed a blood alcohol content of 0.17%.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated and issued appearance tickets to answer the charge at a later date.
No injuries were reported in the property damage accident.
