The Syracuse Mets used a three-run eighth inning to defeat the Buffalo Bisons, 4-2, on Saturday night at Sahlen Field.
Khalil Lee opened the scoring and tied the game in the eighth with a bases-loaded walk. Nick Dini followed that with a two-run single to give Syracuse a 3-1 lead. Gosuke Katoh capped off the inning with a run-scoring single.
Buffalo plated their first run of the game in the second as Nick Podkul brought home a run with a groundout. The Bisons second run of the game came in the eighth as Spencer Horwitz launched one over the right-field wall to make it 4-2.
Nate Fisher started on the mound for the Mets and surrendered a run on two hits over 4 1/3 innings. Trey Cobb allowed the lone run in relief.
The Mets and Bisons will wrap up their seven-game series on Sunday at 1:05 p.m.
