New York Mets ace Jacob deGrom is expected to pitch in Syracuse next week.
The right-hander will throw a bullpen session on Tuesday. If that goes well, he will make his third rehab start on Thursday night at NBT Bank Stadium, according to Pat Ragazzo of Sports Illustrated.

The two-time Cy Young winner threw three scoreless innings for Single-A St. Lucie on Friday, stretching himself out to 36 pitches, 29 of them strikes.
The 34-year-old is working his way back from a stress reaction on his right scapula. deGrom last appeared in a Major League game on July 7, 2021.
If his rehab continues to go well, deGrom could rejoin the Mets rotation at the end of July or early August.
