City of Auburn, CNY Sports offer summer recreation program for next six weeks

The city of Auburn Parks and Recreation Department is working with CNY Sports Management Group to run sports and other recreation programs in three city parks for six weeks this summer.

What programs are being offered and where?

The program begins Tuesday at Lincoln Playground. Auburn City Clerk Chuck Mason says the city has worked with CNY in the past and was impressed with their programs.

Recommended ages for the program are six to 14. Children must be signed in and out of the program daily.

Cayuga County Legislator Muldrow is among the program coaches

CNY Sports Management offers experienced coaches and will give parents who want to coach the tools they need to make an impact on athletes both on and off the field. We want our athletes to focus on their grades, and attitudes and will work with colleges to create a pathway to secondary education. Among CNY’s sports coaches is Cayuga County Legislator Brian Muldrow. The company emphasizes skill-building and learning over winning in young athletes.

Details of programming will be posted weekly on the City website and on our City Facebook pages: and
