Summer entertainment seasons gets into full swing this week in Auburn

The city of Auburn swings into summer in a big way this week.

Summer Concerts in City Parks begin Tuesday night with the Joe Whiting Band at Hoopes Park from 6-8:30 p.m. Thursday night, Jam Factor will play at Market St. Park from 6-8:30.

Casey Park Pool opens for the season Wednesday

The Casey Park pool opens for the summer season Wednesday. Auburn City Clerk Chuck Mason says the Auburn YMCA-WEIU runs the pool under an agreement with the city.

Monday Movie Mania brings free films to parks and playgrounds

The free Monday Movie Mania series begins on July 11.

Monday Movie Mania will feature free family-friendly movies shown throughout the parks and playgrounds of the city every Monday night beginning July 11th through August 29th.  Residents are invited to bring their own blankets, chairs, and popcorn.  Movies will begin at 8:30 p.m. or when it is dark enough, whichever comes first.

Poppy’s Ice Cream Truck will be present at all Monday Movie Mania nights selling your favorite summertime treats to keep you cool too.
