Rochester Red Wings fall to Lehigh Valley in series opener

The Rochester Red Wings opened a six-game series with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs on Monday night at Coca-Cola Park and fell 5-1.

Rochester jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second inning as Jake Noll ripped an RBI single into center field, but after that, it was all Lehigh Valley.

The IronPigs tied the game in the third on Dalton Guthrie’s run-scoring single.

Daniel Robertson put Lehigh Valley on top in the sixth with a bases-clearing double, making it 4-1. Ali Castillo followed that with an RBI single to cap off the scoring.
