Rochester Red Wings blanked by Worcester

The Rochester Red Wings were blanked by the Worcester Red Sox, 10-0, on Saturday night at Frontier Field. Worcester has now won the first five games of the six-game series.

Rochester just could not get anything going offensively as they had just five total hits and Jake Noll collected two of them.

Logan Verrett started on the mound for the Red Wings and surrendered five runs over 3 1/3 innings. The bullpen combined to allow five runs.

Christin Stewart, Yolmer Sanchez, and Jeter Downs homered for Worcester.

The two teams will wrap up the week-long series on Sunday at 7:05 p.m. Anibal Sanchez will make another rehab start with the Red Wings.
