Police say a Macedon man was taken into custody after a traffic stop.
According to a news release, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Armando Gomez-Gomez, 30, of Macedon for driving while intoxicated and reckless driving.
The charges stem from a traffic stop where it is alleged that Gomez-Gomez was operating his vehicle on State Route 31 in the wrong lane and almost hit a patrol vehicle head on. During the stop, he failed field sobriety testing and was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office to submit a breath test which produced a .14% BAC.
Gomez-Gomez will appear in the Town of Macedon Court at a later date.
