Police arrested a Geneva man following investigation into a domestic incident.
According to a news release, the Geneva Police Department arrested David A. Demaria, 27, of Geneva for strangulation.
Police responded to a residence on Pulteney Street for the reported family trouble. Prior to their arrival, Demaria fled the scene. Through investigation, it was learned that Demaria got into an argument with another person and choked the victim. Demaria applied pressure to the victims neck and throat causing them to lose consciousness and sustain physical injury. Later in the day, officers located Demaria and placed him into custody.
Demaria was transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
