Police ask for public’s help after hit-and-run on Main St. in Canandaigua

The Canandaigua Police Department is attempting to identify a motorist involved in a hit-and-run on Thursday.

The incident happened around 12:30 p.m., according to police, who said the driver was traveling north on South Main Street in a white Express van.


Police said in a news release that the vehicle was last seen traveling north out of the area.

They shared photos from nearby security footage of the van and driver.

Police didn’t provide any update on the pedestrian’s condition.

However, asked anyone with information that could help with the investigation be shared by phone or email.
