The Buffalo Sabres brought back veteran goaltender Craig Anderson on a one-year contract worth $1.5 million, the team announced Thursday.
Anderson joined the Sabres last July on a one-year contract. The netminder held a 17-12-2 record with a .897 save percentage and 3.12 goals-against average in 31 games last season. He suffered a neck injury that forced him to miss nearly three months from November 2 to January 29.
He became the sixth American goalie to reach 300 career wins on March 10 with a 3-1 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights.
As of right now, Anderson and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen are the projected goalies for the 2022-23 season.
