Police search for suspect after property damaged in Ithaca

Police are searching for a suspect after an intoxicated person damaged property on June 24.

According to a news release, the Ithaca Police Department were called to the 200 block of S. Cayuga Street for an intoxicated male damaging property.

A witness in the area described the male as a short, Hispanic male in his 30’s wearing blue jeans, a gray t-shirt, with ‘salt and pepper’ hair. The witness observed the male hitting a white truck in the 300 block of S. Cayuga St. The suspect fled the scene prior to the Ithaca Police Department’s arrival. Upon arrival, officers observed damaged property spanning from the downtown commons area to the 300 block of multiple vehicles and a door to an apartment building.
