$650 stimulus tax rebates for rent

The deadline for the property tax and rent stimulus rebate in Pennsylvania has been extended to Dec. 31, 2022.

The original deadline was for June 30, 2022, just days away.

Seniors and disabled residents of the state now have more time to complete applications.

The applications are for a $650 stimulus tax rebate.

This is one of five programs with lottery support.

Payments of $500 could be going to thousands in Minnesota

Since 1971, when the program was created, disabled and older residents have seen $7.3 billion dollars in rent and property tax relief.

Funding for the program comes from slots gaming.

Eligibility for the stimulus rebate

You must be over the age of 65. You must be over the age of 50 if you’re a widow or widower.

Disabled adults over age 18 may also apply.

The income limit for the program is $35,000 for homeowners and $15,000 for renters.

If the applicant gets Social Security, half of it will noy count.

You may submit your application through the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue.

If you qualified last year, you need to apply again this year so your information can be verified.

Rebates will start going out July 1, 2022.
