These stimulus tax rebates are coming at a time when people need them the most.
Though federal stimulus checks helped many when they were sent, data is showing the did not help with inflation.
Inflation is now becoming a long term issue for millions of Americans.
Many states are taking it upon themselves to issue stimulus tax rebates as a way to help offset rising costs.
Colorado issuing state stimulus tax rebates
Many are calling these checks the Colorado Cashback check.
There are some eligibility requirements that must be met in order to qualify.
First, you must be a full time Colorado resident.
Your tax return for 2021 must be filed by the deadline of June 30, 2022.
If you filed for an extension, you can have it filed by Oct. 17, 2022 to see the stimulus payment.
Those who file by the June deadline will see their payments this summer.
Those who file by October will not see theirs until January of 2023.
Those without taxable income are also able to file a return to get the stimulus rebate.
