Applications opened on May 2, 2022, that allowed New Mexican residents to apply for a one time stimulus payment.
The applications are for non-filers who do not normally have an income requiring the to file taxes.
Millions of dollars are going out to families in New Mexico following Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham signing the tax rebate into law.
New Mexico stimulus checks
As gas, groceries, and household expenses continue to rise, stimulus checks are being issued to qualifying New Mexican families.
This includes low income seniors, disabled Americans, and many others.
Colorado residents to see up to $1,000 in tax rebates
If you reside in a household as a married couple, and/or have dependents, you can qualify for a $1,000 stimulus payment.
Single person households with no dependents can see up to $500.
$20 million was set aside for non-filers and the stimulus payments will only be available on a first come, first serve basis.
It may be in people’s best interests to file a tax return even if they do not make enough to qualify.
Often times they may find they qualify for other rebates, and filers automatically qualify for this stimulus payment.
The payments will be issued on July 31, 2022.
