Williamson man threatens to hit woman with baseball bat

A Williamson man was arrested after a domestic incident.

According to a news release, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested William H. Lopez Jr., and 60, of Williamson for menacing, criminal possession of a weapon, harassment, criminal mischief, and criminal obstruction of breathing.


Lopez Jr., allegedly pushed a female, threatened to strike her with a baseball bat, forced a shirt over her head and around her neck while applying pressure, damaged property, and prevented her from using her cell phone to contact the police.

He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Williamson Court at a later date.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by members of the New York State Police.
